The Native

Another drawing this week! I was over at ~Hollandlop92's house for the weekened and we just randomly flipped through the channels on the television. I found this wild western show with native americans and here's this native american on a beautiful appaloosa and I was like...I love that horse! So, yeah...that show, whatever it was, made me think of this piece.

I'm so stinkin happy how this actually turned out! The shading was absolutely torture and I'm still working on where to darken and lighten in some areas. I HATE that sooo much, but if I continue to practice I'll ge better eventually! Ugh. I'm looking at so many references for the shading and I came up with the pose on my own.

This horse actually doesn't look much a spirit type style which I am so happy for! I'm still working on my goal to move away from spirit style!
